YellowAPI Partners with Twitter

Following Twitter’s announcement regarding new place data partnerships, Yellow Pages Group (YPG), Canada’s leading local search provider, announced today a data-sharing agreement with the information network, Twitter.

The partnership uses the company’s public API, YellowAPI YellowAPI.com, to make YPG’s 1.5 million Canadian business listings available to Twitter and accessible to Twitter users who can tag their tweets to YPG business locations.

As BlackBerry DEVCON 2010 continues today, Yellow Pages Group (YPG) highlights its recently launched public API (application programming interface) to BlackBerry® application developers.

Currently available in BETA, YellowAPI.com allows developers across all platforms, including BlackBerry application developers, to stream local search content from one of Canada’s largest and most comprehensive business and person database, with over 1.5 million Canadian business listings.

YellowAPI.com Gives App Developers Access to One of the Largest Databases of Canadian Business Content

Yellow Pages Group (YPG) announced today the BETA launch of YellowAPI.com, the company’s public application programming interface. YellowAPI.com will be open to developers across all platforms, allowing them to stream local search content directly from one of Canada’s largest and most robust business and person databases.

A demonstration of YellowAPI.com and its functionality will be held by Yellow Pages Group at noon on Friday, September 17 at FITC Mobile 2010 in Toronto, part of the annual Mobile Innovation Week event.
